We awoke this morning to winds of 20-25 knots, with gusts to 35 knots. The forecast is calling for these winds to continue until tomorrow.
If you recall, I mentioned one of the things you have to come to grips with about the cruising life is that the weather rules your life. Well, these winds are way too strong to be trying to travel on the Jersey ICW, so we're stuck here for a couple days.
Unfortunately the same winds are causing our anchorage to be a tad 'lumpy'.
Sunset Lake is a bit rough today |
While it's a little uncomfortable here, we're safe and secure, and the anchor is holding well (we are *so* happy that we upgraded to the Manson).
There's a chance that the winds might subside enough by tomorrow afternoon to move on a little further, but more likely it will be Friday before we can continue. Oh well, time to put another movie on the TV and cuddle up with a nice warm cup of cocoa...
