Tonight finds us at anchor in Brigantine Bay, in Atlantic City NJ.
After two days the winds finally started to ease last night. By this morning, the lake was like glass.

We got underway by 0700 in order to catch the last of the morning high tide. Because of the numerous shoals and shallow spots on the Jersey ICW it was prudent to only travel on mid to high tides.
Unfortunately we left on a falling tide, so after a couple hours we had to stop to wait for the low tide to pass. At 1000 we dropped the hook in Townsend Channel, about 15 miles into the trip. The low tide was at noon, so we had our lunch while we waited.
By 1400 the tide had risen enough that we could safely continue. The remaining 30 miles passed slowly, but without incident. By 1800 we had reached Atlantic City, and by 1845 we had our anchor down and set in Brigantine Bay.
The conditions tomorrow on the Atlantic are not looking promising, so as long as the winds aren't too strong we'll probably continue our trek up the Jersey ICW.
