M/V September Dream

Today makes it twenty-two...

Years married that is.  On top of that it's now two years that we've owned September Dream.  A couple good milestones I think...

We're back in Ottawa today, and have been since Thursday.  We came back home to provide some support to our son, who lost a couple friends in Wednesday's bus crash here in Ottawa.  We're also feeling pretty lucky as a family as the bus that crashed was the one that he normally took to get to work, but because of running a little late on that fateful morning he ended up on the next bus.

We're looking at probably heading back to the boat tomorrow.  One side benefit to this trip back home is that we got to pick up our Nexus cards, which came in on Wednesday.  This pretty much enables us to action an alternative plan, where we will cross Lake Ontario before the wedding, and put the boat up at a marina in Oswego when we come back.  The nice thing about this plan is it gives us a lot more flexibility in choosing a crossing, and also we then won't have to worry about a lake crossing in mid October.  There's a nice weather window of a couple days shaping up for next week with calm winds and seas that we might end up hopping on.
