Rock Hall MD (2013-11-02)

N39° 08.094', W76° 14.824'

Tonight we're tied up at the free town dock in Rock Hall.  Our trek down the Chesapeake has begun.

We left Chesapeake City this morning just after the fog lifted.  The conditions were about as good as we could have hoped for, and having left just after the high tide we ended up with a boost of about 1 to 1.5 knots.

The boost from the tide shaved almost an hour off of our projected travel time, and we ended up in at Rock Hall just before 1500.

The clouds had been gathering on our approach to Rock Hall, and about an hour after we got in we started to get scattered showers.  We helped some friends we had met in Chesapeake City, Bev and Ralph aboard S/V Mystic, get tied up to the dock behind us.  After we each got our boats squared away the four of us headed off to Waterman's Crab House for dinner.

The weather forecast for tomorrow is looking iffy, so in that case we'll spend the day doing some sight-seeing in Rock Hall.  With any luck the weather will get better for us, and we should be able to be in Norfolk by the end of the week.
