Tonight finds us at anchor in Liberty Landing Park, behind the Statue of Liberty, New York City.
We knew today would be full of interesting landmarks, and we weren't disappointed.

First sight of the New York City skyline |

Manhattan skyline |
It was fun to see all of this, but the upper New York harbour is kind of crazy. There were a lot of boats heading in every direction, all throwing big wakes making the water feel like a big washing machine. We were happy to finally turn off the main channel and follow the side channel into the Liberty Landing Park, where we ended up anchoring for the night.
Tomorrow we're going to leave New York, and head out to Sandy Hook. If the ocean conditions are good we're going to begin our run down the New Jersey coastline. If the conditions aren't favourable we're going to either drop the anchor behind Sandy Hook, or head over to the Great Kills harbour on Staten Island.
