Lake Worth Pictures (2013-12-22)

Internet connectivity has been hard to come by since we arrived in Lake Worth.  When we went over to North Palm Beach marina to top up the fuel tanks we took advantage of their Internet access for a few minutes.  Then, the nice guy manning the fuel dock gave us a Beacon wifi card good for 7 days!  Beacon is a 'for pay' wifi Internet access company, and the 7 day card is worth about $35, so we were pretty appreciative of his gift.

Since we now have Internet access at the anchorage (although it does drop out at times) I thought I'd post some of the pictures I've taken in the week that we've been here.

Here's a few pics of the North Lake Worth anchorage.  Each day a few boats leave, and a few more boats arrive.

Full moon over Lake Worth
Each trip to shore meant using this dinghy landing.  With the number of boats in the anchorage, this landing can get quite busy.

It still feels weird leaving the boat when at anchor

Provisioning for the Bahamas was quite the adventure.  Again, we are deeply in debt to Lynn and Don from S/V Redshift for helping us out.

Full to the gills...

Every available space put to use

It took two dinghy trips to ferry all of this back to the boat

We did manage to get it all squirrelled away...
We use the woodchips for our composting toilet.  Don decided that the proposed usage of the wood chips needed to be more accurately labelled.

Cruisers included
This boat has been sharing the anchorage with us since we arrived.  I did some digging online and found their blog.  This is a custom built aluminium trawler that took the owner twelve years to complete.  It's a beautiful boat and a testament to the vision and patience of the owners.

We continue to wait for weather.  The weather that was shaping up for Monday night now looks good for Tuesday morning, and while it is a marginal window at best, it does look doable, and might be the only window for the week.  We'll see if it ends up good enough to head out into...
